Someone’s Calling, Danger

If you’re like me, you love your cellphone so much! It’s become a part of me. Everyday about 5 billion people use their phone to text, call, check social media and play games. But using your phone for only 50 minutes can cause cancer. 50 minutes might not seem a lot but when you’re sucked into your phone time will fly.

A study at the National Cancer Institute showed that using your phone for only 50 minutes can create an energy that creates more glucose on the side of your head you are have your phone on. With extra glucose in your brain, many health problems can occur. Tumors can also form when your phone is too close to your head. Tumors like gliomas and non-cancerous tumors such as meningiomas. Also nerve connecting non-cancerous tumors can occur.

Cancers and tumors do have a higher risk in teens and children than adults, but there are many ways to help prevent them. Some things you could do is limit the amount you use your phone to call someone. You can also talk in person instead of on the phone. That can make you connect more with the person you are talking to and help prevent cancers and tumors! Cell phones help you stay connected, but remember the dangers cell phones can cause.
